The sun was beginning to rise when Sami traded off places with Ray, and began to prepare a little food for the day ahead. She was no Savvy, but her crude mix of shellfish and octopus soup was good enough for her. She handed some wine to Ray, and explained to him that it had low levels of alcohol, and wouldn't mess with their mind. It was better than water. Which, speaking of, they would have to stop somewhere and buy clean fresh water. Wine alone wasn't going to suffice.

She took out the Captain's map. In order for them to get to London and buy their needs, they were going to have to pass Siren's Straits, the death of all men. "Not just a legend," she told him.

Savvy thought deeply about her next question.
" Do you know the feeling, standing in the cold rain, but being happier then ever before?"
She studied Catlandias response.

Catlandia felt her face fall, the smile being wiped off of her face.
"Like you don't care that your freezing on the outside because the warmth on the inside is enough? Yeah, sadly I do."
Catlandia's eyes became blank for moment and it seemed like she was staring nothing, but everything at the same time.

She held her arms out.

It was noon on the third day of Sami's escape, and she was worried about Ray. He hadn't risen this morning, and she was worried he might have come down with some illness. Should she check? No, because then who would steer the boat? Yet she couldn't help but worry. She had grown soft for the boy, and genuine;y liked him. Once you got past his awkwardness, he was actually very nice. No wonder he was a horrible pirate.

She smiled to herself. It had been a very long time since she had had this kind of a relationship with someone. Being a pirate has it pros, but the cons were why she left.

She hoped he was okay, and would come back up on deck to join her. The journey was quite possibly going to get worse.
